Re: Sailing Outrigger Canoe (DK Touring)
Update: William made it 30 nautical miles north on his 130NM journey but capsized while fishing close to shore after bumping a semi-submerged rock. He recovered most of his gear by scuba the next day but abandoned the canoe as it was delaminating badly about the gunnels following the roll over as we...

Re: Sailing Outrigger Canoe (DK Touring)
Update: William has completed the DK-Touring without outriggers. He departed this morning by kayak paddle heading on a 100 mile journey north along the coast line to la Paz. He says there is a 5% chance he will attempt the Sea of Cortez crossing in the next two months. The boat is robust to say the ...

Re: Sailing Outrigger Canoe (DK Touring)
Update: Sadly, little has evolved with Morten. He must be very busy as there is really no email dialogue and he's not engaging the forum. William (the OP) and I have so many questions in an ever circling design spiral that Morten would be such an asset to have comment on. I didn't want you folks to ...

Re: Sailing Outrigger Canoe (DK Touring)
I've tried six different ways of contacting Morten to no avail.
The PM I sent to Mick came to me as did the one I sent to Morten.
Can anyone help us?
Thanks

Re: Introduction
Hello Morten. I'm helping out young William with his DK Touring build. He and I have considered putting two amas on your well thought out design and fitting it with a sloop sailing rig. We'd be interested in your suggested location of a keel stepped mast and leeboard location as well. Thanking you a...

Re: Sailing Outrigger Canoe (DK Touring)
Thank you -Matt Designer I looked on the forum link you provided... which "section" are you referring too? There is no user name Morten Olsen listed on any of the threads. I checked the first thread, "Introduction" and couldn't see any way forward... Am I really stunned or is thi...
