Re: Two New Builds TV 12 32 and Crawdad 11 34

Have you considered putting a 30 lb. thrust trolling motor on the back of the Crawdad? You wouldn't have to worry about the wind. I haven't been on the forum in a while and was surprised to see two new boats. Your work on them is excellent, very nice looking boats. I'm retired now (70 yrs) and drive...

Re: Herblite Special

Thanks. I haven't forgot your plans, just now getting back on my feet. Came up with a torn rotator cuff on the right side that is giving me fits, then last weekend came down with food poisoning (I think) that tore my guts up and also tore me a new one, if you know what I mean. Getting my strength ba...

Herblite Special

Remember the 17 lb. kayak? I finally finished mine and it don't weigh 17 lbs., I didn't think it would since I built it for strength and safety (so it would hold my fat butt). Anyway, it's still light as can be and really does fly on the water. Reminds me of Ron's Cuda which is a JEM Laker 15 built ...

Re: Help me pick a boat

You might try the Touring Pirogue. A great boat for a beginner builder. Easy to build, very versatile, and can easily be used as a tandem for you and the kid.

Re: Touring Pirogue

I found the problem of not being able to post pictures: I had the resolution set too high in my camera, I was pixel dense. I reset it to a lower quality but fine for internet use, then ran a test here on the forum and they came out fine.

Re: Touring Pirogue

Harry, what photo storage do you use? I've got Photobucket and I couldn't get pictures to post last week and I tried every size I could think of. I don't know if it's Matt's problem or Photobucket, but I do see your picture posted above. Good lookin' boat you got there, Mate.

Re: Can my boat keep up with this?

My TV 15-29 adds a whole new meaning to "just easing along". It is so much easier to paddle than a plastic kayak. It takes very little effort to get it up to cruising speed and keep it there. The V on bottom makes it track as straight as an arrow, something none of my plastic boats will do...
