Re: Sasquatch in the Outback (Oz) Desert
Congratulations Mick. Thanks for posting these pics. I am sure you had a fantastic honeymoon. The pictures you have posted bring back wonderful memories. I'm heading off next week on a trip to the UK and Europe for seven or eight weeks, but in my heart I would much rather head out to the back of Que...

Re: Stitch wire
I prefer the copper wire for the reasons as stated by Old Sparky. I find that the copper does not damage the ply like some steel wire and has the added advantage that if a bit gets accidentally epoxied in place it doesn't matter at all. Just leave it there. Re: The disease begins- First Laker

Just thrown in for the photoshoot. You are right about it being a great sit upon. No more numb bum after a reasonable paddle.p.s. looks like your skwoosh seat is backwards.

Re: Canoe waterline question for Matt and whomsoever will.
I think that the graphite finish looks a bit ordinary. Why not just graphite the bottom panels as far as the first chine. This is the area where it will cop the most damage. That would leave the rest of the boat looking nice and pretty. Just my two cents worth.

Stick a rod in each of those rod holders Ron and you'll look like a porcupine floating down the Brazos.

http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab301/rodot24/Quetico/DSC02038640x360.jpg Basically the construction of the Quetico is all but complete. I have sanded back the hull and will now leave it for a few days or more for the epoxy to fully cure before varnishing and rigging. For the seat I am thinking ...
