I took my Trapper up to the Murray River for the Cup Weekend, only had time for 1 paddle, about 90 min up stream, and 15 min down stream. Ha, good to hear it hasn't been chopped up and burnt ! I guess you have the loooooong miles up there to contend with too.
And, the canoe is not the main event, is it.
I'm still trying to make some wooden paddles, but other stuff gets in the way

Hi Matty I built the Aussi Trapper, and I did the sealing coat both sides, and then glassed the insides before I stitched it. A couple of tips. On the sealing coat, rub off as much epoxy as you can, leaving the surface almost dry. And when glassing, scrape as much epoxy off with a credit card. (move...

Hi Rob Answering your questions... Yes, it's come out pretty good, and has been a satisfying build. Yep, Yep, often nervous. Also deaf when in a boat with no hearing aids, so my intent was to face her the other way so she could lip read, worked to an extent, but upset the balance. Thought about swap...
