Re: Another Aussie Trapper

Hi Les
Your probably on the money with the length suggestion, I can see it working while kneeling :)
I did end up building a set with a shorter handle, and I think I also reduced the blade size a bit. Any way they work well and i had a lot of fun building them :D

Re: Canoe Outriggers

Re: Canoe Outriggers

Hey Guys Just finished an outrigger of sorts for my trapper project I'm calling it a stabaliser because it's not really an outrigger and not designed to be used while under way The concept is to keep the craft streamlined till you get to your fishing spot then deploy the stabiliser It was actually d...

Re: NT Trapper

That seat looks pretty cruisy 8) Don't worry about the size she'll look and feel lot smaller in the water, especially when there are beady eyes watching from water level. I'd be using a paddle with a really, really long handle. I'm waiting for Matt to put some details on the web site but I am curiou...

Re: NT Trapper

Hi Whirly I use acetone for all my resin clean ups, and brush storage. It's in most hardware shops but is cheapest from automotive shops http://i841.photobucket.com/albums/zz333/RobRassy/Roo%20Canoe/IMAG0078.jpg Is there a prize for the messiest work bench  I had a bit of a mishap when gluing ...

Re: NT Trapper

Hi Whirly, I used to have the same problem resizing on photobucket I eventually found that I had to wait a moment after resizing before clicking to the next screen to give the website time to reprocess the data, otherwise I had to wait till next day before the image came right. You seem to have that...

Re: Aussie Trapper

What a Ripper Col 8) The Trapper looks beautiful & you've got some great shots there Your passenger looks a little nervous though, the trapper is far more stable than the two hands on the gunwales would indicate  Did you paddle solo from the front seat? I'll bet the Trapper is much more man...

Re: Another Aussie Trapper

Thanks for tips guys I've spent a fair bit of time scrounging around the inter-web. I might be getting information overload  The problem is some of it is a bit contradictory, I suppose thats the personal nature of paddles. I found this drawing of a 1905 design someone has uploaded. I reckon i...
