Re: Finally took the Cape fear out with another boat.

Hi Preacher A stripped Cape Fear .... now that should be a really nice little boat. I've always liked the smooth lines of a nicely built stripper (boat that is  ). I'll be getting into my Sabalo 12 shortly, and would like to have it ready for the summer fishing season. I was trying for this las...

Re: Finally took the Cape fear out with another boat.

Hi Preacher Glad to see you back out on the water chasing a few fish - really glad. I thoroughly enjoyed your posts on building the cape fear (I hope to build one in the future), and look forward to more of your expeditions. Nice pool - it looks like it holds a few fish. Appreciate your post, thanks...

Re: Willamette River Monster Sturgeon and Other Fall Fishing

Wow  that is one serious fish. We don't have anything like that in Australia. The Murray cod is our premier freshwater fish (grows to 6ft) but you'd be lucky to catch a 3 footer these days. Appreciate the post.

Hi Neon
Nice work!!!!

Re: PFDs

Type 1 pfd is the most likely to keep your head out of the water. OK on a boat but I wouldn't like to paddle in one. Maybe a self inflating vest but if you get wet, you'll end up looking like the michelin man  . If you are kayaking close to ocean washes or in any fast moving water, maybe a he...

Re: Neons Sabalo 12

Hi Neon
Keen to see how this one comes together. I hope to start building one shortly, have the plans, just haven't been able to make a start yet. Having seen your paddleboard, I'm sure you'll do a great job of it. Best of luck with the build and ........... thanks for posting.

Re: Manjimike's Sabalo 12

I'll be starting my build after Christmas, hope to have it finished late February/early March for some summer fishing/camping...
