Do turtles eat algae? Seems a local lake has turned a dark shade
of green due to the states expert managers taking care of it. Talked
to them and they said there putting turtles in it to eat all the algae.

Did you get them on camera with that comment? Seems to me every turtle native here in Iowa is a carnivore.
Maybe they're going to drain the lake and turn some land tortises(sp?) loose on the place??
