The deck design

ImageImageImageI've installed a hatch in the rear deck.I also used waterbase stain and must wait 72hrs. before I can glass it ,waiting again!

Looks beautiful.
Did the wood have a clear coat before applying the stain?, if not how did you stop the stain from spreading outside your lines?

I used duct tape instead of mascking tape.Also when I cut it out with an exacto knife you leave a small cut mark and the stain doesn't go past it.

Also Mike when I cut out the design I used a paint roller to make sure the tape was down firm.There was a coupe of small bleed through spots so because the stipe area was so small I clued 220 grid sand paper to a ton que depressor and was able to use the thin edge to sand it out. :)
