14' Garvey flex

Post by Guest »

I am building a 14' Garvey flex, and I was wondering how fast it will go with a 9,9 or a 20 hp?

The 14' Garvey flex will go 10-12 kn. with a 9.9 hp outboard and up to 22 kn. with a 20 hp outboard.

Hi Guest,

I am interested in your Garvey Flex build. I just picked up a 15hp outboard and I need a boat. Can you post pictures etc.

Morten, Can the 14' Flex be stretched to 15' and what is beam at bottom.

Yes, you can stretch the boat to 15' if you like. The easiest way to do it is to simply extend the stringers, side and bottom panels with 1'. The beam at the bottom is 1.535 meter [5'].
