Just wondering, if for non-structural applications like rod holders and the hatch frames is there any advantage or dis-advantage to using well nuts instead of a nut & bolt (or screw).
Other than the obvious that you dont need to get behind it with a wrench.
The well nuts are vinyl (PVC) coated so they seal.
Could you trust them for attaching the carry handles?
Would flattening the prongs down on these:
And bonding them in from the back be any better, assuming they are made from either stainless or brass.
Guess I am just asking whats the "best" way for attaching small stuff.
