i notice in you b.o.m. you only list fiberglass tape. Do you suggest fiberglassing only the seams? And do you suggest coating everything inside and out with epoxy?

Fiberglass taping the seams and coating everything with epoxy inside and out is the minimum building technique.
Some builders prefer to add a layer of glass on the outside for abbrassion resistence.
On some desgins, you can reduce the required plywood thickness by using that technique. What you trade in weight reduction in plywood, you sometimes gain in fiberglass and epoxy.
But it depends on which design you have in mind. Which design are you considering?

The SOT would be the choice for me. i know you recommend other boats first, but i wouldn't have any use for any other kayak. thanks!
