I'm looking for my first build. Plan on using it on the Savannah River, Clarks Hill Lake in Georgia and the inner coastal water ways around Hilton Head, SC and Jacksonville, Fl. areas. I think the Piroque style is out as Clarks Hill and the Coast get a little more wave action. I will use it for fishing and poking around. No long distance camping trips and such.
I thinking something around 13-14 ft and not too heavy. Looks like the Cape Fear and/or Freedom may be easy enough for a first timer. I thought I read that the Freedom would also be available in a shorter version also but could not find it.
Which of these or another of your builds do you suggest?
