Tacking a deep 'v' profile.

Post by goanywhere »

Hi all. I am making a pair of outrigger pontoons (see build log) which have a very steep 'v' hull, making it difficult to place masking tape on the inside for tacking the join. I can get my finger down into there though, so I was thinking of tacking from the inside rather than the outside, using tape on the outside. Can you think of any problems with that? It just means filleting over the tacks again, which wouldn't be much of an issue I would think.
My psychologist reckons I need lots of fishin' therapy!

getting into those sharp V's is tough. You should be ok with the method you prescribe.
