I haven't had a chance to extend the tongue on mine yet. It works fine except if I have to turn beyond 90 degrees. Not a problem except when someone comes the wrong way down a parking lot aisle and forces you to turn beyond 90 degrees. Thats when you get a Sabalo through your tail light cover. Don't ask me how I know.

Home Depot has some nice strong 90° angle brackets with holes in the Unistrut Dept, next to electrical.
