I like you're designs, simplicity get's more people interested in boat building, which is what I have tried to do here in the Kansas City area without much luck.
I was wondering how the hull holds up only taping the seams on the inside and out, verses doing cloth over the entire hull?

It depends on a multi things:
Bottom: Do you scrape the bottom a lot? Is it coated with graphite for additional protection?
Wood: Is it decent quality wood? I don't recommend using cheap ply and taped seams only.
Design: Width of panel? Does it flex a lot?
