Sabalo rudder cable installation?

Post by goanywhere » Mon Oct 03, 2011 2:01 am

I would like some guidance as to the best way to install rudder cables in the Sabalo. For example, is it best to silicone the cable sheath in place in the transom and bulkheads as it feeds through or is it best to use grommets? I have not been successful finding suitable grommets so I was thinking just to drill 6mm holes and silicone them into place either side of the holes.

Is it best to come into the cockpit area from the rear behind the seat or from the side at a sharp angle? It should be easy to secure any loose cable sheathing with 'd' clamps, but what do others suggest?
My psychologist reckons I need lots of fishin' therapy!
