Waterproof tankwell cover?

Post by goanywhere »

Anyone got any suggestions for a waterproof tankwell cover for the Sabalo? I was thinking something in vinyl and velcro, but has anyone made something like this or any other ideas? It doesn't actually have to be totally waterproof, just splash proof would do.

What about a hinged cover made from thin ply? What do you usually carry there?

It's more what I might carry there. I am not sure yet that I definitely want to make one, but I was thinking about how to keep large fish if I catch them. Maybe some kind of tough bag might work. I have seen fish keeper bags but they are pretty expensive.

Why not custom fit a standard cooler in there? Ron.. aka Tx River Rat... does that on his boats all the time.
