I'm taking a stabb at a strip build ,can anyone tell what different woods are used.I now about Western Red Cedar.Right know I have a bit of it and some Nogal for accent pieces .What else is light in weight and colour?

some builders use aspen for accent strips.

Paulownia (also known as Kiri) is excellent - but could be very hard to find in your area. Would be worth just having a cast around though - you never know your luck.
