Wetting out glass and strength

Post by cjbfisher »

I've just finished taping all of the frames into my Sabalo, and now I've got a lot of sanding to do. My question is regarding the glass on the inside of the hull. Once it has been wet out and cured, does the glass gain any strength from the following coats of epoxy, or is it just giving it a smoother surface? If it doesn't add any further strength, I'll only put the following coats on the areas that can be seen or accessed, and avoid adding any extra weight from the following coats.
Thanks,
Chris

From the information I have gotten from the glass companys ,you dont reach full strength until you fill the weave and then one more coat over that.
