Kevlar tape on keel?

I am getting ready to order my fiberglass for my tv15-29.
I have two questions?

Has anyone considered running Kevlar tape down the keel? How did it go? If not would there be an advantage to run 6oz tape down the keel after I fiberglass the hull. I know i will scrape a few oyster reefs now and then.

The reason I am building this boat is to replace a 13 foot plastic sot that is a pain to lug around. Should the boat still be pretty manageable with 6oz fiberglass? Do you see any advantage to using four ounce on the interior?

Kevlar will "fuzz" as it gets scraped up. Hard to repair without replacing completely. I think you might be better off with a couple layers of regular e-glass.
