wood ?

Ok, fellas let me hear you thoughts. i have prob. 1,000 BF of reclaimed white oak lumber<for free i might as well add in>
if i plane it down to around 3/16 " will it be to heavy for a ss&g build..

white oak is about 2x the density of western red cedar. So it's going to be significantly heavier even if you're using 75% of the typical strip thickness.

Building with it will be challenging as well. Maybe you could use the free stock as accent strips?
