Ok folks nice to meet all of you. I am looking at the wadefish 15 32 for my first kayak build. I have been reading on here about different woods used. Has anyone tried to build a kayak out of Juniper? Any ideas about that type of wood for a Kayak? :?:

Juniper is also know as Atlantic White Cedar, a great boat building wood. Nice article about it here: http://www.festival.si.edu/past_festiva ... boutIt.pdf

Excellent seeings how Harkers Island is right down the road and I know where the sawmill is. Looks like the wood is no issue.
