New guy here but long time boat builder. Just ordered plans from Matt for the Freedom 13.
Question is if I make the hull out of Okoume ply and the deck out of the darker brown Meranti in the same thickness any idea how much weight increase I would pick up?

Okoume is supposed to weigh 13 lbs for a sheet and Meranti about19 lbs per sheet. I really like the clear finished look of Meranti over the light brown of Okoume ply but don't want to pick up to much weight increase...Thanks guys.

If it's 4mm, about 4 pounds more.

If it's 3mm, about 3 pounds more.

Both assume you're including the coaming.
