When you manage to get the time and get her wet , some pictures of the process would be nice. If you have a good stringer of fish , all the better.

Any more info on this stuff? Net site? Etc.?scottrunnr wrote:... I mixed epoxy and a new ceramic insulating powder developed by NASA (Insuladd) and painted that in the whole rear compartment. I'm hoping it will keep my ice/fish cold back there.
Thanks.

Matt,
below are either the specified weights for the accessories or my best guess at them. They total up to about 17lbs. That would put the base boat at around 42 lbs.
1. 6" circular Hobie hatch; 3lbs.
2. Bomar flush access hatch; 3.5 lbs.
3. 3 rod holders @ 1lb each; 3 lbs
4. Carry handles & brass eye plate at bow; 1 lbs
5. ram ball for fish finder display mount; 1 lb
6. fish finder sounder & wire 2 lbs
7. aft bulkhead & brass aft hatch hardware; 4 lbs

I finally got her out on the water this past weekend. I can't put into words how thrilled I am with her! She is light and very fast. Yet, she tracks dead on, is very stable, and handled swells effortlessly. All in all a fantastic fishing platform and a joy to paddle!
Below are photos. The first day I took her out on a local river to put her through some paces. Satisfied with that, the next day I took her out on the harbor and went fishing; 6 striped bass all in the 23 inch range. Wonderful experience! I'm so happy with her!
First Day on river
1. Getting her off the car (keep in mind that I only weight 145 lbs)
2. Hit the river
3. My daughter helped me build it, her turn to paddle
Next Day on the harbor fishing
1. Rigged and ready for fishing
2. View from the boat
3. First catch; 23 inch striped bass
