Olsnappa (can I call you Snapps) for short?

Your boat is looking great! You do good work mate.

I have allways believed in the CF and your build is inspiring me to build my own CF.

I think you will be very happy with the way she performs. 8)

Oh yeah, very quick build too mate. Love ya work! :D
Regards,
Mick

Thanks Andrew and Mick.........
Call me what ever you like Mick....
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the progress although, I'm back at work after the weekend so time available will be less........
But I have definitely caught the disease.......can't stop thinking about kayaks and canoes and am already trying to work out where to keep all the ones I want to build!!!....Might have to fill the backyard with sheds....
The wife swears I was stitching panels in my sleep the other night..!

Good work there, Olsnappa. I often go to sleep with visions of boats, camps, camp gear, etc. dancing in my head. Could be a lot worse, I guess.

A bit more done......
Glued, de-whiskered and most of the initial sanding.

John,

You build quick mate. :D

I love the lines of this boat and am enjoying watching one come together.
Your seam lines look lovely and fair (no wobbles). Bloody good work. 8)

Mick

Thanks Mick.... Yeah, she's a pretty looking design.
As for the speed of build, I've just been lucky and had few interuptions.. I'll make the most of it while it lasts...... :)
I'm also keen to get her done as I'm hoping to take some leave in about a month and a half and I'm looking forward to using her for a bit of fishing.

By the looks of it she should be fairly quick in the water, but still very stable. Fantastic job so far.

Ok......a slight delay to progress.
A couple of days ago I noticed the stern panel looked slightly askew. :?
This, despite having checked and re-checked alignments etc along the way as well as just spending a few days admiring the progress so far without actually doing anything on it.........didn't notice a thing then!
Anyway, I carefully cut out the panel and back along the seams a few feet.........Very nerve wracking!!!
Cleaned everything up and re-glued........
Everything seems to line up now so don't know what the !$# :x !! went wrong but am back on track now.
This is a shot after re-working the area......Umm, still looks a bit off whack in the photo but it's just the angle the boat's sitting.

Began fibreglassing the hull yesterday.
I'd worked from the centre about 4 feet each direction when I saw some stray dog hairs under the glass! ...... A mad scramble to lift the cloth and and pick them out followed...... Damn dog hair gets everywhere!
As I cursed and glared at the dogs, they lay in the sun and snored their heads off.
