OK,
The wife's back out of the hospital (after being in 12 weeks of the last 16) .
#3 daughter has graduated high school, and the parties are done with.
I finally got back to putting this thing together.
I'll get some new piccies posted soon.
The hull is glassed, the top is tacked on and I'm going to sand the edge to ready it for glass tape.
I hope to have the cockpit cut out by the time I post the piccies this week.

Good to be back!! :D :D :D

How high is the water momma?

We had a slight set back here in Cedar Rapids. The city I've called home since coming out of the Army is "gone".

The "freedom with a stripped top" was salvaged from the flood waters, but the shop and all tools are no more.

It will be a while before I'm able to even think of working on her. So many have lost everything here. I'll be concentrating my skills and energy on helping others for the foreseeable future.

Please petition the Almighty for the folks who've lost everything. (there are thousands of them)
I'll post an update as soon as I'm able.

I was just talking ( Land Line ) with a person who was in the middle of that mess . What the news shows us is nothing , just the icing on the cake ( the tip of the iceberg to say the lease) , none of the real stuff.

I know what they show is a disaster and good filming for them but they don't show what has really happen and probably never will.

Thanks for your post , a lot of us were really worried about you and if you made it threw all of that.

Chuck.

Lee,
We've been seeing some of the footage of the devastation from the flooding in the US. So sorry to hear that you are caught up in it. :( :( Our thoughts are with you. Looks like it will take a long time for things to get back to normal. Hang in there mate and get back to the boat when you can !!!! It'll make it all the more special when it's finished.
Cheers
Dave
