Trying something new , only doing spacers in the center of the canoe , inside rail will be full length.

Very nice work - I like the painters tape trick.

Are you using yard sticks for the railing

I use yard sticks like a kid does with candy. Easiest way for me to get measurements on the supports for the Ash and Cain seat and thwarts so the darn things fit the 1st time. They let me get the distance and angle of the ends just right for the sides. Easier trimming a few of them then the thicker wood. If the cut is wrong , it's better tossing/trashing a stick then a Ash and Cain seat.

Never thought of using them for railing but they might be a good one , sure would make it easy measuring a fish when he is caught , if you get any big enough to measure.

Chuck,

You are a genius mate. As you know I have been following your build closely on your forum. I learn a lot from each of your builds. I jus love the idea re the yard stick.

BTW, your boat is looking magnificent mate - as usual.
Regards,
Mick
