Looks very nice and clean Earvin. That didn't take long once you got your teeth into it.

It has a few imperfections, and is a simple build but I am really happy with it. It is a perfect starting build. When I started I had no idea what I was doing but I have learnt heaps and am keen to get to something a bit more complicated now. First the Merrimac and then .... :D. Some of the builds on here are very inspiring.

I think I took a big step in choosing the Sabalo first up. I could have chosen a simpler build but I wanted to build my ideal fishing yak and I was willing to take the risk. I did build a couple of outrigger pontoons as a learning project, which was an essential first project. Without doing that I shudder to think what mistakes I might have made.

As it is looking, it is turning out quite well but has a few imperfections as you say. I think it will still look quite good and hopefully all the faults are just cosmetic, and it will function as it should. If I get to build another kayak I will do a much better job second time around. :)
