Sabalo build finally underway!
Re: Sabalo build finally underway!
That just looks stunning, Congrats on a great build, and good luck with the competition. I'm sure you will get the praise this deserves.

You have to be proud of building that beauty.

This is the another photo that I couldn't get to load from Photobucket, it was too big. This one will go on the wall of my study.
Yes, I'm quite proud of what I have come up with. There are a few faults here and there (the bow deck is a little of square, but the hull is nice and straight), but overall I am rapped!
Thanks to all who have assisted and encouraged me on this, I will certainly be a frequent visitor here and look forward to my next build whenever that might be.

Re: Sabalo build finally underway!
I finished constructing the fibre-glass rudder last night. I just have to give the rudder blade a coat of epoxy to make it all pretty and shiny and it's ready to install.
(It's not a JEM design but a modified version of another make.)

Rudder now installed. Just need to install the fittings for the outrigger arms and mast step and she'll be a nice sailor too.

How did you make that rudder? Did you lay it up or use something made out of glass?
