I went with 1"* 1/4" outer rub rail and same inside gunnel with spacers between, made bulkhead and sub frames then formed deck (made flat panel on bench)

Makenmend - that's a pretty stripper right there!
So you used 1" x 1/4"? Just glued on and no hardware? I plan on doing cedar strips for decks too but I would like to skip on those internal frames if possible... thanks

skipping on the sub frames is nice until someone thinks it's a good place to sit ! 1st hand experience here !!
I'm about to make a 15-32 for a good friend, panels for bottom and sides are cut, scarfed and drilled, ready for when my friend visits memorial week end, so he can stitch it up and go 3d.
Bottom 3/8'',side 1/4'' marine ply the rest will be stripped, assembling the tumble home panels now.

I ran the inner pieces of cypress up to bow and stern and raised them gradually at each end so I can sand down and have a shelf to glue the decks to. make sense? Because of the tumblehome you have to bring them higher for flat deck going from side to side.
