I posted this on my web site and wanted to post it over here.... Looks like I might be building one a little later on.

WOW......
Matt , I think you have done it ..... That would be one sweet solo canoe.
At......
Length 14 feet
Width at 30 inches ( that's the same as the pirogues I make.)
The bow height and stern at 18 inches and mid-ship at 13 inches.
Rocker at 1.5 inches for both the bow and stern , she should be easy to turn and easy on the straight aways.
Then the carrying weight at 400 pounds with the canoe weighing between 33 and 43 pounds depending on the builders skill.
The low cost ( the kit at $499.00 , or getting the plans for $55.00 and purchasing the rest yourself for less) compared to a premade one like a\the Bell Canoes , Merlin, at 15 feet and 31 pounds for only $2,475.00.
Yours is almost a $2,000.00 savings for a canoe that I believe would preform the same as there's plus yours is wood. .
Chuck.

Chuck has said it all - very well.
Suffice to say my order is in too
Bloody good job Matt,
I believe this will become one of your classics.
16-33 in her element, 14 will be just as good and possibly even better in some cases
Sas16 & big name stipper side by side.
I think Sas is prettier.

Thanks Coogs,Nice Mick.
Order sent your way, Matt.
The owner of the stripper was a little miffed Both wood boats were parked side by side and mine drew more "oohs and aahs" than his did - even though his boat was beautifully built. Only a woodworker could possibly apprecieate the effort he had put into his lovely build - only to be upstaged by a Stitch and Glue job. The Lines of Sasquatch really are that nice.
He was very gracious though and complimented on the boat and Matt on the design. Nice bloke!
Nah mate, I snuck that one in.Mick, I thought you were cut off.
Did you get a reprieve?
Bloody sneaky Aussies, will always find a way.
Regards,
Mick

Maybe Sasquatch for the larger boat, and Misquatch for the shorter?
This will be a popular solo boat for expeditions, fishing, camping, picnics, and the occasional courting of a lightweight lovely lady.
