I can't remember if I told ya'll,but I shot the varnish with an automotive type sprayer. It came out much smoother with no brucsh marks or stray bristles off of a brush. i will shoot all of my boats from now on.

I have a sprayer and would like to try it. What varnish did you use, how much did you thin it, and with what? Also, what was the pressure? I will practice on some scrap first .

If I had more clamps, I could build more boats.

I have used Benjamin Moore Spar varnish on both boats. Seems to be holding up well to the sun and is pretty tough once cured. i have not had to thin it any and use about 30 PSI of pressure.
