2lakers with Belly

Post by Bellybuster »

hello all, I've been around for a long time just never registered.
I have started building 2 lakers from the free plans for my daughters. They are both very much involved in the build and will be to the end. So far I have the parts cut for my youngest ones boat and will use them for templates for the other.
Some pics...

Pics of the kids sitting inside the frames and deck panels made me smile - I did the same thing when building my Laker  - and I'm 2 generations older! I think we all feel excited about creating something like this and can't wait to see what it will look like / how big it will be.

Good to see you're getting the young ones involved 8) .
Cheers, Bob

Great job and lots of fun especially getting the little ones involved but, just a little advice, put some ear plugs in those kids ears and you should wear them too. I am almost deaf from years of cabinet shop work without hearing protection and it really makes me mad I didn't take better care of my hearing. I can't get it back now and it is a pain in the butt.

I don't do it any more and I really enjoy wood work and miss it a lot.
