Strip Deck Freedom 15

Post by jem »

After I finish off updating the Trapper Canoe web page with the new 18-36 model, I'll be drawing up a Freedom 15 with a wood strip deck. A Hybrid of stitch-and-glue and wood strip construction.

Sounds interesting, is Mick behind this? :) We were talking about building something like this when I get the Cobia finished  Might have 2 sold when the plans are finished Matt.

Mick... he builds boats?

Some friends at http://www.wisconsincanoeheritagemuseum.com/ requested this a while back. They are getting ready to start building their 4th Freedom!

Word must be spreading because I've started getting a lot of requests vie email for this project from many different sources. When the market is chirping for this, gotta respond!

Ok the drawings are listed and the product can be purchased. Adding the images and details today and tomorrow.

I included the option to just purchase the deck plans. This is for people who bought the Freedom 15 already but want to get the strip deck option. The deck plans can't be purchased by themselves. You must have purchased the Freedom 15 previously or buy it with the deck plans.

The deck frames and cockpit opening come in full scale paper patterns. You don't have to draw them.
