I have recently bought the plans for the Merrimac as I wanted a boat for the whole family. However, my wife is now pregnant , expecting our second child, and so I doubt she will be able to get in the canoe for the next 12 months or so. I am now leaning to building a SOT which would be easier for her to paddle, or at least get in and out of, if she chose, and I and my daughter could be in the Pirogue.
Is that sound reasoning or am I just looking for any excuse to build a SOT ?
What should I build next?
