I'm working on my touring pirogue and I'm about to join my panels together.
I'm looking at drawing QA2.
Panel 2 looks perfect.
For panel 3(A&B) I'm supposed to be 170" from point to point (which I am) but I'm supposed to be 8 5/8" from my edge to the straight line between points. I'm on 7 1/2".
If I adjust it out to 8 5/8" I have a large gap and the curve doesn't look right.
So is being off by an inch a big deal? I'm guessing it is. I already have large gaps in other areas, but being the top panel, I was hoping this one would look good.
Thanks a lot,
-Chris

Re: question regarding QA drawings
I'll look at the drawings later tonight and post what I find.
Do you have any pictures?

Re: question regarding QA drawings
Thanks for the reply.
I may have resolved my issue. I won't know for certain until tomorrow.
I tried my mirror image pieces and they fit perfectly (I'm not sure which were the originals)
So I glued them and they're drying now. Tomorrow I'll lay the problem pieces on top and glue them so they match (gap or not).
I assume that the pieces being identical is the biggest priority.
I'll repost with a picture if I'm still having problems.
thanks a lot,
-Chris

I've always found that when things dont go right, you just walk away from the job and forget it for a while. Take the dog for a walk, go paddling, chase a golf ball around a paddock, anything. It's just amazing how things sort themselves out with a fresh mind.Today laid out the pieces I was having a problem with and they fit perfectly.
I don't know what my problem was but is has magically disappeared.
