Wadefish will be what I am going build. It will have to wait since the wife wants new fishing poles first and I'm not going to be the one to say no since she wants to go fishing with me. Have to save up for the plans again. Being on a budget stinks...

Matt,

If you were going to cut corners for a weight savings, could you think of parts on a Wadefish that you could use 3mm with and not sacrifice strength? It is very apparent that you shouldn't do so on the hull but I was thinking the framing would not be a bad place to do it. Looking for anyway possible to strip some of the weight out of this yak because I am going to load it back up with a few add-ons. What I am really after is that 2 of the 5 sheets be made out of 3mm and the other 3 be made out of 4mm. Without having the layout of pieces, I can only speculate. I do not want to compromise hull integrity or strength but I need to shed some of the weight. Let me know your thoughts.

You'd want to keep the bottom panels at 4mm. you could do internal parts at 3mm so long as all other procedures are followed.
