Looking for some advice

Post by tarzan »

Greetings

I am going to build one of the two wadefish boats but would like to know what would be the advantage of one over the other.
I weigh 180 LBS. plus 20 or 30 lbs of fishing gear
I plan to use the boat primarily for flats fishing in Florida and perhaps a little off sure as well. I am thinking about incorporating a outrigger system into the build so I can stand and fish. This will be my first build and I would really appreciate any advice I can get.

Thank You in advance

I think the WF 27 or blue fin would get it done for you.

Thanks Matt I need all the help I can get

I like the idea of a narrower kayak as I have problems now with my sit in assend hitting my hands on the side of the boat. But could someone explain to my the reasoning why the 27 would be a better fit the the 32 ? Also I would really appreciate any advice on a outrigger system recommendation to build in.

Thanks So Much

Jim,
I cant remember if it is on this forum or Chuck's but Makeandmend did a build sequence on pontoons. Very interesting.

I found a post by goanywhere titled kayak outriggers, is that the one you where thinking of Bob? Matt I think I saw you comment on these outriggers, any thoughts about these from anyone now.

Jim,
That was a while ago on the outrigger build so it may have been goanywhere. I apologize for the poor memory.

I kept thinking Makeandmend had a boat with outriggers and I was right. But goanywhere did the build sequence. (I think  )
