Spacers, stitching Sabalo 15

Matt,
Easy questions.
1. Are spacers inserted between each stitch to ensure uniform space along the entire length of panel, floor deck, whatever to be glued with epoxy...or are spacers only used where there is a hard-spot?
2. What is the recommended procedure--- a light contact (just touching)- of ply parts after stitching and then applying wood-flour/epoxy paste and NO spacers added or--- a 1,5/2mm gap between panels/parts providing the panels are accurately?
I have managed to acquire plastic ceramic tile spacers of 1.5 and 3.mm thick....and will used these instead of lolly sticks or fender washers...both of which are unobtainable on the island.
Last, to you and your dear all your ones a blessed XMAS and a successful 2016.
