These hull are interesting in that they have a unique "shouldered" tumblehome. Different than like the JEM Sasquatch in that the hull beam tucks in but then the gunnels go back vertical.

Kinda cool. This feature is common on some white-water canoes.
Is this do-able in Stitch and glue?? probably more important, is it worth it?
I would love to have a crack at a multi panel S&G canoe similar to that one, but I think the tumblehome panel with gunwhales as in Sasquach would probably achieve a similar result but with much less work.
I did draw one. Even prototyped something close about a year ago that turned out with funky gunwales so I never finished it off. Was looking at it in the shed today.
I might replace the gunwales and try to sell it for a couple hundred bucks to buy some new building materials.
I really don't know. I've debated this. Supposedly the shouldered effect provides more "knuckle" room than a tapered-in (tumblehome) panel like on the Sasquatch. And I can see how it would. That's why that shape is popular with the white-water canoe crowd.
The gunwales would be easier to install and it would be easier to hang seat from the gunwales.
Bell Canoes does the same thing with theirs. In fact when I looked at the picture at the top of the post for a short time I thought it was a Bell Canoe.

One of the designers at the company designed for Bell at one time.
Besides, look at all the commotion that guy has made in the water and it doesn't look like he's going that "fast". I know that isn't what the original question was, but that makes me wonder if the design isn't flawed somehow from the water line down.
