Had to fix up my vacuum system as my old one finally collapsed under use. It had been making a funny boink boink noise for a few years now as the dents sucked in & out under use.
I just cut a disk out of some scrap melamine & screwed the old lid inside it. It has a paint tin & as piece of shade cloth over it. This is the inside of the cyclone.
Drilled a hole in the side fitted a piece of hose through it as the inlet & to make the air swirl around the cyclone
Bung the lid on & seal with good old duct tape. Plug the suction into the top & the hose to the side & 1 vacuum system.
This saves the dust bag in the actual shop vac from filling too quickly & even manages to catch most of the fines as well.
I got some more time in the shed today after a week of not being able to do any thing in there.
I cut the temporary frames out of some MDF so I can keep the off cuts of ply for the Mirage Drive Socket. I fitted these & flipped the hull over & started to fit the spacers & tighten every thing up.
Its starting to look boat shaped now.
I also added some of those special DNA Micro Dots to the built to prove I made it.
Thankfully its under where the graphite will be so I dont need to try & sand it out.
