The inside is taped up :D ..Tumblehome sides, vertical panels proved to be a challenge keeping the tape wet...The resin would drain off and leave voids....Hind sight, I should of mixed some cabosil and resin to keep the tape wet....Need to do some sanding to smooth out some resin piles and glass humps. Next is glassing the entire inside, stringers and bulkheads...

Material check - three gallons of epoxy will make the butt joints, fillet seams and tape the hull. I believe I have used about 80 yards of tape as well...

Need to order supplies again :x

Not much to report other than I for some D.A. reason :x , decided I was going to use “poor man’s” peel ply on the inside tape joints, to keep the sanding down… :roll: Well, first off the areas are not finish level areas, plus I have a layer of biax to add and the taping of the bulkheads and stringers to go…Well I did the peel ply thing and ended up with a lot of epoxy ridges, wrinkles and boogers to sand on the starboard side…. The port side went on normally, no peel ply very little sanding…. So, how much sanding did I save on the starboard side :x …. well, five 80 grit belt sander belts and 20 some odd 60 grit 5” disks later, I’m almost done fixing the starboard side…

I actually got in the boat to aid my back in the sanding…It’s gonna be a sweet creek boat, a lot of room…the boat building juices are flowing again :D

I have decided to scrap the plywood bulkheads and use Divincell for the bulkheads and stringers and Nida Core for the decks…It will cost me a little more (okay alot :lol: ), but the weight savings (more tackle) will be worth it…I hope

I hope to finish cleaning up the epoxy mistakes this week and get ready to lay the biax fabric next week…If anyone has 10 yds of 50” 1200 laying around drop me a line :lol:

Roomy...... You could have a square dance inside that boat. Deck it over and have a house boat, put a flat deck on it and have an aircraft carrier. Holy Cow it will hold an entire tackle shop with a snack bar and half of the parking lot. :lol:

When you get serious about building a boat you get serious. No wonder you had a lot of sanding. I do have to say it is Looking Good, keep the pictures coming and waiting to see it on the water. :D

That's pretty funny, Chuck :lol: ....I have come to realize a boat grows when you flip it over for the first time and it gets even bigger when you get in it for the first time...I'm quite pleased with the design so far, she's should be a redfish catch'n machine when done...

Got most of the sanding done, a few more places to knock down and she will be ready for the inside fabric.

My fishing buddies on Bigbendfishing.net had some fun with the pictures..some say I carry enough tackle fishing to sink the boat...the other was a product of misreading the tides on a trip in the winter :lol:
