After weeks of wind finally got a chance for the Bride to put her new Wadefish thru its paces
Its quick smoke in background is a hazzard reduction burn thru bush
Stopped here to stretch our legs and have a pit stop
Then it was a paddle back thru the smoke and ash
All up about a 10 km paddle in different conditions can still smell the smoke and the noise was deaffening at times
View looking over our shoulders at where we had been
Bride gave her new boat the seal of approval saying it was stable and best of all a breeze to paddle........

Re: Where Theres Smoke Theres Fire
That looks a top little trip.
I think I am going to make a Bluefin 12' first as most of the rivers in Tassie are not as big as NSW & the 12' will be more manoverable . . . . . . . . but I do have the idea of building a Wadefish in the back of my mind.

Those pictures bring a tear to my eye.
I used to be a sydney boy but i got myself stuck on the wrong side of the globe.
I can almost smell the gum trees and smoke.
Keep enjoying your boats.

No fish on the last bit of the trip back we saw boils and swirls but it was to uncomfortable to have a go at them...........smoke was making our eyes sting
