Hey Mick, where do you get your graphite (atl perhaps... ) seems it's used for lubricating locks so maybe my friendly locksmith has some? Craft shops seem to charge well for it?
cheers

G'day Tor,
Yeah mate, ATL Composites. I wouldn't build a wood boat without putting it on the bottom.

Hello there, İ like the idea of the graphite n epoxy coating on the hull. My problem is that such technical stuff is not available where İ live (Republic of Turkey). Are there other materials will work in the same way??. Or failing that, what industries use graphite and therefore have acsess and\or waste that İ can put to use.

It's pretty common lubricant used for farm equipment. If there's a shop that sells tractors or lawn equipment, they will likely have it.

Are we talking about graphite grease here. İ had it in my head graphite powder. The idea of mixing a grease with epoxy sounds a bit wobbly to me.

Graphite powder. Commonly used by locksmiths (and farmers by the look of it) as a dry lube.

Derek, if you cannot find it locally, try RAKA.

I know turkey is overseas. Won't RAKA or someone ship to that locale?
