On the Blue Fin info page, the material build list has the glass at:
Fiberglass Cloth, 4-ounce, 38" wide, 17 yards
But on the Blue Fin downloadable BOM it is listed as:
Fiberglass Cloth, 6 ounce, 50” wide , 17 yards
Just want to comfirm which weight and width I should be looking at my rough calculations for the build budget.
Thanks!

Tim,
This is an answer to a question you didn't ask! When looking at building cost I highly recommend RAKA fiberglass. Good selection, good service and great prices. I'm sure that Matt's specifications are computer based on safety specs. For myself I've started building out of 4 ounce because it's lighter weight and I've never had a problem with strength on these small types of boats. There are some interesting discussions on this and also on Southern Paddler forum about fiberglass cloth weight .

Thanks Andy. Are you using 4oz standard E-glass or the S-glass? I will check out Raka and Southern Paddler.

Fiberglass Cloth, 6 ounce, 50” wide , 17 yards is the correct size. I'll need to update the webpage.
