Re: Wood Flour
I got a sack of it from a furniture factory. It needed to be shifted but that about it. Last month, I had the builder I'm helping use an angle grinder with an sanding disk to make some. It took awhile but he eventually got the amount he needed. This was before we made friends with the furniture fact...

Re: 3mm plywood on a Muskoka?
Thanks Matt. This morning I noticed I did not have the "Log me in automatically" option set. I guess yesterday when I came back the system had logged me out already. The option is set now.

Re: 3mm plywood on a Muskoka?
Hmmm ... I thought I replied already to your post Matt. Thanks again Matt. I'll definitely glass both sides, and use the best quality wood I can find for the gunwales. The BOM says 4mm for the two upper panels, and 6mm for the lower two. I can get 3mm and 5mm but this is really good plywood, much be...

3mm plywood on a Muskoka?
Hi guys! I'm thinking of building our second Muskoka and I was wondering if I might use 3mm plywood for upper 2 panels. The plywood is really nice plywood: 3 ply no voids guaranteed. Is this ok?

Re: Dan's DK18
Thanks Dan. Yes, I'm eager to hear how it turns out. I'll sure make adjustments based on what I hear from you guys. I don't really have a good sense of how much walking space they'll be between the gunwale and the side of the console, or necessary for that matter (I've little experience on such boat...

Re: Dan's DK18
This what I want to do with mine Dan ...

but I'm waiting for you to finish yours. One reason is I'm not so sure anymore about the 8hp OB being good enough.

Do you have draft figures for various loads for the Muskoka? Whatever is in your files Matt would be fine I guess. I don't want to be a bother. I'm asking because I'd like to figure out the area of the underwater lateral profile at a load of 350 lbs and in turn figure out the necessary rudder area. ...
